SCRIP
Scrip works similarly to Kroger Cash, in that the team receives a percentage of the amount you purchase. However, there are many stores that participate. Just a few examples: Cracker Barrel, Olive Garden, Outback, Bath and Body Works, The Gap, Marshall’s, Rich’s, Marriott Hotels, and several gas stations, and the list goes on. There are specific dollar increments available, such as $10, $25, or $50, and the percentages the team receives varies from store to store, with the average being 5%- 10%. By using SCRIP, like Kroger Cash, you are not just incurring an expense to meet fundraising - you are buying goods and services you already use and helping the team at the same time.
Example of SCRIP: If you buy $50 worth of gift cards from Long Horn Steakhouse, who pays 8%, you will receive $4 toward your commitment (50 x .08).
How to obtain SCRIP:
- Obtain a blank SCRIP order form from Lisa Hichkad. Orders for SCRIP will be due on Wednesdays.
- Select the SCRIP you wish to order and total your order. Be sure to fill in your name on the form. Forms without names will not be processed.
- Place your completed SCRIP order form along with a check payable to Swim Macon for the total of your order in the SCRIP lockbox at Northside Pool (located under the Men’s record board next to the parent folders) or give directly to Kathy Stockslager.
- Orders will be returned to your folders by the following Tuesday, in the form of paper gift certificates or gift cards, depending on the retailer.
